My name is Ahmad Thomas. I am a Pro athlete in the NFL, and I play Linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts. My story inspired me to start this foundation so I can give back, and most importantly share my story to inspire others. I was born and raised in Miami, FL in a single parent home. We struggled to survive but my mom, auntie, and grandmother made a way. My grandmother died when I was 13 and things only got worse. I was adopted at 3 months old, and I didn’t find out until I was 16. My mother told me my birth name and that my biological parents were both 13 in a foster home, but that’s all she knew at the time. Medical issues I encountered in my career forced me out of denial to search and actually find my birth parents. When I found and met my biological parents at age 23, they reviled that I was born with a heart murmur. The doctors told my biological mom that I wouldn’t live past 10 years old because of it but, here I am today. Alive and well. I’ve found my purpose and it’s to serve and inspire others!
